Today, Manitoba teachers made history! With today’s ratification vote by the Winnipeg Teachers’ Association complete, every public school teacher in Manitoba has a collective agreement until June, 2022!
Together we demonstrated that fair salaries are set at the negotiating table, not on Broadway. Bravo to the 16,600 public school teachers of Manitoba! This is your moment.
Effective Period: Four (4) years from July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2022
Salaries and Allowances: 1.6% in 18/19, 1.4% in 19/20, 0.5% in 20/21 and COLA in 21/22 – waived interest on retroactive pay- sub increases effective retroactively-LOU regarding layoff period extended to June 18, 2021 from May 1, 2021.
