The River East Transcona Teachers’ Association has ratified an agreement with the River East Transcona School Division. The agreement is as follows:
- Effective period: Four (4) years from July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2022.
- Salaries and allowances: Increases to salaries, rates, and allowances of 1.6% for 2018/19, 1.4% for 2019/20, 0.5% for 2020/21 and COLA for 2021/22. Substitute per diem increases are effective date of signing, with no retroactive pay. Interest on backpay waived for the duration of this agreement.
The Winnipeg School Division is now the only division in the province that has refused to reach a deal with its teachers.
