Public Health has confirmed that asymptomatic teachers, with a household member who is symptomatic, are exempt from self-isolation orders, as long as the teacher wears a medical mask.

This exemption, which applied, to health care workers and first responders has been expanded to include teachers and educational assistants.

For all exemptions, these staff must wear a medical mask, in addition to following all other Public Health measures.

If you are symptomatic, please visit the government’s COVID-19 resource page for information on self-isolation.
