Teachers Urged to Stay Home

Self-isolate say officials

With the announcement of 14 new Covid-19 cases in Manitoba – with one person in critical condition – MTS reminds members to take the advice of health authorities and stay home.

Some teachers have continued to do work at their schools. The province’s chief public health officer says “now is the time to stay home.”

That message has been underscored by the prime minister every day this week.

MTS has worked to ensure teachers have the option of staying home to work, based on health recommendations, and now urge members to take that option.

Officials also say people should not be travelling at the present time.
