Session A: Highly Engaging Oral Communication, Reading and Writing Games for FCC
9:00-10:15

Learn a variety of highly engaging oral communication, reading and writing activities to get your students speaking in French and how to assess these activities quickly and easily.



Carling Comte is an FCC teacher in Niverville and the recipient of the Greg Sametz Award for Excellence in Teaching FCC.



Session B: Free Online Digital and Print Resources for Teaching FCC
10:30-11:15

Come learn about all the free online and print materials available to FCC teachers of all ages. Learn about new resources that you can use instantly in your classroom!



Mona Hutchings is the Support Librarian for French (English Program) at La direction des ressources éducatives françaises (DREF).



Session C: Getting Back Into The Swing of Things: Engaging Post Pandemic FCC Learners
12:15-1:30

Learn strategies to engage your students in the FCC classroom following a year of changes. Learn fun ways to structure your lessons to get your students back into FCC learning.



Emory Ashcroft is a rural FCC specialist at Gladstone Elementary School in the Pine Creek School Division.



Session D: FCC Project Based Learning in Partnership with the Assiniboine Park Zoo
1:45-3:00

Learn how to incorporate elements of Project Based Learning into the language classroom. Start with the end in mind, use revision, connect, and make something! Participants will have the opportunity to discuss, reflect and explore this planning process and make links to curricular learning outcomes for FCC.
