Session Description
Building A Growth Mindset Learning Environment
Students who demonstrate a growth mindset, a belief that their talents and abilities can be developed through effort, good teaching and persistence, are more resilient and motivated to learn. This interactive seminar will focus on many ready to use strategies to create a growth mindset learning environment. Participants will have the opportunity to share, discuss, critique and build on what they are already doing. Through questioning participants will link the strategies to their own contexts and experience. Further, they will share and discuss strategies in both small and large groups. Finally, participants will reflect on what they have learned in the session and create a plan on what strategies they will implement in their learning environments in addition to their own professional lives.
