MTS President James Bedford announced today that Dr. Danielle Fullan Kolton has accepted the position of General Secretary of The Manitoba Teachers’ Society, effective June 1st, 2020.
Prior to joining the staff of MTS, Fullan Kolton’s career included that of teacher, school principal, education consultant and university instructor.
Fullan Kolton joined the MTS staff in 2013 as an education research analyst and shortly thereafter became a staff officer. She went on to become the department head of Professional and French Language Services and for the past year has been acting in the role of Assistant General Secretary.
“I’m delighted to welcome Danielle to her new role and look forward to working with her on behalf of our 16,000 members province-wide,” said Bedford. “Please join me in congratulating Danielle and wishing her every success as she transitions to this new challenge.”
