The Power of Women in Bargaining

Virtual Session 4 – April 8, 2026 from 6:30-7:30 PM

Presented by Arlyn Filewich, Ashleigh Deeley Michaluk, Tammy Hodgins-Rector and Andrea Zaroda

This virtual panel brings together four women who negotiate on behalf of Manitoba teachers at a particularly important moment. With our collective agreement up in June and a new round of bargaining ahead, these panelists bring timely insights from leadership roles that require strategy, confidence, and a clear sense of purpose in high‑stakes environments.

Panelists will share candid reflections on finding and using their voice, building influence, and leading through negotiation during a bargaining year. Grounded in real experience, the conversation will explore how women lead at the table, the strengths they bring to negotiation, and what these lessons can offer anyone interested in leadership, advocacy, and effecting change when the stakes are high.
