Manitoba’s students are settling into a new school year. Whether you graduated in 1986 or 2006, today’s classrooms look very different from the ones you remember. Increasingly, it falls to classroom teachers to try to fill the gaps.

Manitoba’s public schools are being asked to do more with less while the provincial government has increased funding to independent schools by 14.8 per cent this year, compared with a 3.5 per cent increase in public school funding.
