MTS Member Engagement Expression of Interest: Committees & Working Groups

MTS Committees and Working Groups bring members together to take action on the issues that matter most to teachers across Manitoba. For the 2026-2027 term, members will have the opportunity to contribute to eight key areas of focus that support and strengthen the profession.

Each Working Group is made up of eight members serving a two-year term, working alongside MTS staff and members of the Provincial Executive. Together, these teams collaborate on meaningful initiatives, outreach, and advocacy efforts.

Working Groups include:

  • Education Funding Working Group
  • Protecting Public Education Working Group
  • Addressing Violence in the Workplace Working Group
  • Member Well-Being Working Group
  • Countering Hate Working Group
  • Truth and Reconciliation Working Group
  • Promoting the Profession Working Group
  • Practicing the Profession Working Group
