Welcome Back to a New School Year!

We hope you had a chance to recharge and are feeling ready for the challenges and triumphs ahead.

As we begin this school year, we want to remind you that your union is here to support you.

This year, we’re focused on rebuilding our organization and are in the process of finalizing our strategic plan.

Some of our top agenda items for this year include:

• Violence in schools – Advocating for safer learning environments for all.
• Teacher recruitment and retention –Working to improve working conditions, including smaller class sizes and ensuring substitutes are available so teachers aren’t required to provide coverage and lose valuable preparation time.
• Public education funding – Ensuring adequate resources for our students.
• Anti-hate – Promoting inclusive, safe spaces for everyone.
