Here are just a few of many that highlight the history, struggle, and power of being Black in Canada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Black Life: Untold Stories<\/strong> is an eight-part documentary series that reframes the rich and complex histories of Black experiences in Canada. The <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/gem.cbc.ca\/black-life-untold-stories\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">trailer<\/a><\/em><\/strong> provides an excellent overview of the series\u2019 content. Find the full list of episodes <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/gem.cbc.ca\/black-life-untold-stories?cmp=DM_DOCS_FEED_GEMCARD_black-life\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">here<\/a><\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Being Black on the Prairies<\/strong> is the history of Black Canadians in central Canada was chronicled by the CBC in its series \u2018<strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbc.ca\/newsinteractives\/features\/black-on-the-prairies#Migration\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Being Black on the Prairies<\/a><\/em><\/strong>\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are also many excellent resources that cover the contributions and trailblazing innovations of Black Canadians in a wide variety of fields, including politics, sport and the arts. Thorne to the president of the Toronto Raptors Masai Ujiri. Black Canadians are making history today and every day<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Many Black Canadians also face additional struggles as a result of intersectionality \u2013 how their race, gender, class, and other identities interact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.queerevents.ca\/queer-history\/queering-black-history-month\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The histories and struggles of Queer Black communities and their contributions are frequently erased and missing from the mainstream narratives<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/canadianwomen.org\/blog\/misogynoir-and-healing-journeys\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Misogynoir is a term coined by Dr. Moya Bailey to describe the distinctive form of anti-Black sexism faced by Black women.
