Lightning Talks

In lieu of a keynote speaker we will start our morning with a Lightning Talk.  Lightning talks are designed to be short presentations between five and ten minutes long and are arranged one after. Each Lightning Talk speaker, who will be hosting a session after the Talks, will share their ideas and concepts to the audience. Lightning Talks are brief which requires the speaker to make their point clearly and allows the audience to gain a broader array of knowledge from the presentations given.

During the Lightning Talk Presentations, each of our presenters will speak for 5-10 minutes, then after the morning break, participants will be able to choose which session they would like to attend.  Participants may choose to switch sessions in the afternoon, however the material from the AM session will not be repeated.

Art Across the Curriculum with Deenie Lefko-Halas

In this session, you will learn about how to infuse art to make learning more creative, authentic and joyful for your young artists – and for yourself! Deenie invites you to experience time-proven art lessons, ideas, and media for young children that connect and uncover curricular learning in fun organic ways. Leave with ideas you can implement immediately as well as bigger ideas to enrich your entire program.
