David A. Robertson, Author & Presenter
David A. Robertson is an award-winning writer. His books include When We Were Alone (Governor General’s Literary Award winner, McNally Robinson Best Book for Young People winner, TD Canadian Children’s Literature Award finalist), Will I See? (winner of the Manuela Dias Book Design and Illustration Award Graphic Novel Category), and the YA novel Strangers. David uses writing to connect readers to Canada’s Indigenous Peoples and educates audiences about cultures, histories, communities, as well as highlighting many contemporary issues. David is a member of Norway House Cree Nation and he currently lives in Winnipeg.

The afternoon options will feature two breakout sessions with the keynote, David Robertson. All attendees will receive a copy of David Robertson’s book, When We Were Alone, at the end of the last session of the day.

Registration for afternoon sessions automatically includes the morning keynote session. Fees are based on half-day attendance. Please note that META membership fees are already included in the conference fees and do not need to be purchased separately.

META Member (attending only an AM or PM session): $35
Non-member: $60 Full day / $30 Half day

Registration will be accepted until sessions are full. Cancellations will be charged $5 after October 1, 2018. No fees will be refunded for cancellations made 7 days prior to the day of the event (October 19, 2018).
Lunch is not provided.
