The Manitoba Teachers’ Society is encouraging teachers who want to help plot the course of the Society over the next several years.

MTS hopes more members put their names forward for openings on the provincial executive. Delegates to the provincial council – the Society’s annual meeting in May – will vote to fill 10 positions on the executive.

To help members considering running, MTS has created a booklet that answers many of the questions teachers and principals have about running for office.

The booklet – now online – outlines the duties and responsibilities of provincial executive members and the steps that need to be taken to get a person nominated for election.

The booklet is available here.
