The Young Humanitarian Awards recognize students, both as individuals or groups, who demonstrate compassion, self-sacrifice, leadership, creativity – and who are involved in good works for their classmates, schools, communities or charitable organizations. All public school students from Kindergarten to Grade 12 are eligible.
The awards will be
presented at a special ceremony at the Manitoba Theatre for Young People
(7:00 p.m., Monday, March 22, 2010).
This year the deadline for nominations will be 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 12, 2010.
Please
take a few moments to tell your colleagues about the award. All teachers
and parents areencouraged to nominate worthy students.
