Delegates to the Society’s 91st Annual General Meeting will be voting on dozens of resolutions and approving the budget for the coming year.

Many of the resolutions to be debated at the AGM involve governance issues, such as how the provincial executive and president are elected.

“Once elected, the PEx member would have some direct contact with this region over the course of a year,” it says. “The proposed structure would see all parts of the province represented on the PEx in a manner that reflects the member population of that area.”

Another recommends the president, now elected by a membership-wide vote, be elected by delegates to the AGM.

If adopted, another resolution would see term limits placed on members of the executive. For example, members would only be able to serve three two-year terms.
