At least 11 members will be running for the five positions that are open on The MTS provincial executive.
Along with five incumbents, six other teachers submitted nomination papers before the March 15 deadline. Nominations can be made again during The MTS Annual General Meeting, May 27-29.
It is already the most nominations received for positions on the provincial executive in more than 10 years.

Nomination and Election to the Provincial Executive will be administered under Bylaw and Policy requirements governing Society elections. Bylaw III C is found on Page 14 of the 2009 Policy Handbook.  Policy Governance I. 2 and 3 are found on Pages 105 and 106 of the 2009 Policy Handbook.

Nominations will also be accepted during the Annual General Meeting of Provincial Council up to 4:00 p.m. on the second day of the meeting from individual members, provided a nominee is endorsed by ten (10) registered representatives.
